Welwyn Garden City Bowls Club is not just a bowls club, but a community hub. The club hosts social and educational events at its own pavilion and in the adjacent Digswell Park Sports Association (DPSA) club house. We welcome new bowlers and social Members.
Bowls Events
  • Welwyn Garden City Win the Herts Bowls Men's Team Ten.

  • On Saturday 28th July 2018 the Men's Team retained their County Team Ten Championship. In the semi-final played in the morning they defeated Oak Hill Bowls Club drawing 2-2 on disciplines but winning by 20+ shots overall. In the afternoon final the team beat Royston by 3-1. Well done to everyone who played throughout the competition.

  • Bryn Evans Winns the Herts Bowls Men's Under 30 Singles Championship.

  • On Sunday 29th July 2018 Bryn retained the County Under 30's Championship with a 21-7 victory over Aaron Prowle of Datchworth. Both players played well, however Bryn's greater experience told in the difficult windy and wet conditions at Bishops Stortford.

Social & Community Events
  • Hertfordshire Health Walks will commence a Welwyn Hatfield Health Walks Programme, part of a countywide programme of free, led walks, helping everyone get outdoors, get more active and reap the benefits. Starting from the bowls club pavilion at 10 am each Monday morning. For further details of these dates please see the  community Calendar. Come along and find out more; you can just turn up!
  • U3A Computer Groups and the Sewing Group take place in the club pavilion. Further information can be found in Community.
