The Richard Middlewood Cup

The Richard Middlewood Cup

The Richard Middlewood Cup is a new competition introduced this year for Bowlers with Less than 3 Years of Bowling Experience.

The proposed format of the competition is Singles, 4 Bowls - Playing 2 Sets of 7 Ends with a Tie Break Set if required. Random draw to be done in advance of the event after the closing date for entries.

This competition has been introduced later on in the Bowls Season to allow time for newer bowlers to practise and play before considering entering this competition.

We do not know how many players will be interested in playing, so confirmed dates are approximates at this stage.

16 names - 3 Rounds to be played (1 Day)

16+ Names - Possible 4 rounds depending on numbers and draw. (Across 2 dates)

The Final will be played on Club Finals Day (Sat 17th September)

Closing date for entries will be Friday 5th August. We will then release details of the format and day on Sunday 7th August.

Saturday 13th August starting from 10am

Saturday 27th August starting from 10am
